Woodview Caravan Park sits in the rolling peaceful countryside of the local parish of Leigh. With six quaint hamlets in the parish, including our own Morrilow Heath, there are lots of walks, scenic countryside and sleepy hamlets for you to explore on foot direct from the site.

One of our favourite places to visit just a short drive away, is the award winning Trentham Estate.  Home of the beautiful Trentham Gardens, a timer lodge shoppping village and some great places to eat.  Another attraction there is the lake, with it’s lovely lakeside walk and immaculate Italian Gardens.  Trentham Gardens is approximately 8 miles away from our site.

Stone is a historic market town located between Stoke-On-Trent and Stafford which is approximately 5 miles from our site. Stone has some very exclusive places to dine.

Uttoxeter is another market town which is approximately 8 miles away from our site. You will find a wide range of supermarkets and shops including butchers, bakers, hairdressers, grocers, banks, chemists and newsagents. Uttoxeter has many takeaway services and restaurants to dine. There is always a monthly farmers market the first Saturday of the month with a makers markets the 4 th Saturday of each month.

Alton Towers Theme Park is a place not to be missed if you have children and they enjoy Theme Park rides. Alton is about 8 miles away from our site.

A little further away yet still within Staffordshire lies Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Which has some lovely off road walks and cycle trails.

To the east is the Staffordshire Moorlands which makes up part of the Peak District National Park. The Churnet Valley is a great area to explore with the quaint Churnet Valley Railway and the beautiful woodland walks at Dimmingsdale.

We are central to many of the best attractions and places to explore in Staffordshire from sleepy villages to pretty market towns and many cultural and heritage interests. There are many National Trusts properties in the area including Shugborough Estate.

There are some interesting buildings with plenty of walks in the surrounding area. In 2015 it was nominated Rural Pub of the Year.
